In the North American LCS, there is dominance, there are team with good level but never on the up level, we remember all the great split from SKT or former ROX Tigers … We can only remember what TSM did last split when no one even believed in them despite being the number two team in NA:
While veteran YellowStar was gone to former team Fnatic and while they could’ve had Spring Split EULCS Champion Hybrid they decide otherwise and got on a 17-1 record (35-6) with Rookie of the split Biofrost.
Not a disappointment for TSM but, North America still trying to beat that record of 18-0 Fnatic had in Summer Split 2015.
Now, here come today, Cloud 9 ongoing after world run, quarter-finalist by chance (only 3 win) ; got home safe and sound when Meteos decided that enough was enough, another year, another Cloud 9. Who can replace Meteos? Decisive shot caller and grand Jungler of Cloud 9 how can we replace him?
Well, very easy for C9: Cloud9 Challenger was just around the corner winning challenger series acquiring a spot on the LCS (now being FlyQuest), and…. There was Contractz : NA miracle, everyone was waiting for Contractz : The prodigy of NA jungler whom wasn’t old enough to be in the LCS was now finally 17!
And so C9 decided to take Contractz under their belt.
No better way to be the best than replace a GOOD jungler with a GREAT jungler. The transition from Meteos to Contractz was the best thing that could’ve happen to the C9 lol roaster:
Can Cloud 9 become the biggest League of Legends team North America has ever had?
After a not so convincing world run, all they have to do is get redemption at IEM Katowice, all they have to do is to keep on improving.
Can Cloud 9 become the biggest League of Legends team in NA?
Yes, in some way it’s not that hard: they can lose game, but no BO3! Improving is winning?
How come they have become the best team when so many got so good upgrade (most of them being Korean upgrades such a semi-finalist Ryu or Chaser and Arrow from KT Rolster)
Who can stop Cloud 9 from being the best team in North America?
Honestly for the moment I don’t see a team who’s better than C9 at the moment, all of them but Pheonix1 or former team FlyQuest, who seem to be top class with P1: the ad of Korean Ryu and Arrow as well as passive player and former Immortals Adrian who seems to be in good shape to contest C9 throne.
Or FLY aka C9 white aka C9 blue (as you prefer), with shot caller Hai and new king of the jungle Moon, the team seems to be synergising pretty well and adapting very nicely to their very own play-style.
Will C9 be able to face off a hard lose at IEM?
In a utopic world where roses are red and my husband is actually Sneaky *winky face* C9 can be undefeated until IEM Katowice come around, but… IEM is full are amazing team, and it’s going to be tough competition for C9: Unicorns of Love whom are undefeated too at the EULCS, actually the two Korean team going to IEM Katowice are by now at the bottom of the standing in LCK and last but not least crowned favourite team with amazing Support Likkrit, formerly named Albus Nox Luna now M19 may be a threat to C9.
And If they went on to lose early on while still being undefeated in the NALCS, can C9 break from here and start tilting after being so good at home but not being able to perform on an international stage (typical G2-8 players)
What are Cloud9 pros?
Their staff is one of the many reason Cloud9 are one of the best North American structure: Reapered being their coach seem to be their friend as well creating a synergy within the team! They got a bot-lane coach, and a bunch of other good member in their line-up which make them a better team
The roaster it-self: Sneaky? Consistent
Jensen? Best mid-laner in NA so far this year
Impact? TOP DIE!!!!
Contractz? Already rookie of the split.
Smoothie? Deals more damage than Sneaky!
What are Cloud9 cons?
The face that the team is so young makes it hard to believe they can go all the way and carry next week match against top 2/3 FlyQuest and Phoenix 1, if this happened what so ever, there will be nothing that can stop C9 from being the best team NA has ever seen.
The adaptation of a new meta coming in quickly can affect C9 in many way (just like any team actually) but I don’t see that happening under Cain and Reapered hands.
In the end it’s all on Cloud 9 hands to make the most of every loose they have to become the best team the North American League of Legends scene has ever had.
My final point is to remember you that NA LCS is staring on Saturday the 11th this week at 12AM (CET) and will begin by Cloud9 facing against Team Liquid. The other C9 match will be against TOP2 and ex-team mate Fly Quest on Sunday the 12th around 12AM (CET) too.
Yea, I think that’s all for me now.
And, be more like Sneaky! He’s nice.
IzzieJH xx.
